Bob van Brederodes industrial career in the plastic industry included 14 years at Exxon Chemical Company and 11 years at Reichhold/BP Chemical Company that took him around the world including a 2 year overseas assignment in London.

Mr. Van Brederodes first visit to China was in 1986 where he was part of a 3 person BP Chemical team that successfully won a hard fought competition to be a joint venture partner with a Chinese chemical company for a large investment project near Shanghai.

After London, Mr. Van Brederode worked for 9 years at NC State University and for 8 years, at NC Commerce in the International Trade Division where he specialized in helping NC's plastic and chemical companies develop new products and find export opportunities. For 6 years he led groups of NC plastic companies to China to find export development opportunities.

Mr. Van Brederode obtained his BS.ChE. and Ph.D. Chemical Engineering degrees from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
